KAMPALA, Uganda (UGNEWSLINE) – Commonly known for her comic characters in the theater and the local film industry, Evelyn Mukisa is now eyeing for a Lion’s share in the circuit doubling as a gospel musician and an Actress. Upon her entry in the entertainment circuit in 2020 as a gospel musician, she observed that the music arena was not a bed of roses, with several ups and downs alongside financial constraints that partly lured her to put music on hold and took a break.
The gospel musician passionately says that the storm is now over. She has bounced back into music generously and ready to take her talent to higher heights. Mukisa says, she is currently under PAWA management, a record label that has through the years allied with many cream artists successfully. The musician has dropped her very first video titled ‘ Kannekoze’, in which jubiliates and praises God’s love, His sympathetic and empathetic characters, some of which are the reasons for who she is today.
Born in Kaganda, Masaka, but rised up in Kigungu Entebbe, Mukisa’s music ladder comprises of songs such as Saba, Omukwano, Onsanyusiza and Kannekoze, a song that she has just dropped visuals and well received across the christian based broadcasters. In 2023, Mukisa took on Acting under Pearl pictures Uganda based in Namasuba. She has appeared in many films with the commonest titled Disappointment, broadcated on KBS Tv between7:30 Pm and 8:00Pm.
She says, she liked acting and since childhood took part in school MDD clubs but most focused onto music and drama. ” I want to use my talent through gospel music and change the non believers’ souls. Singing is a calling and through my ministry am ready to take His word of life and hope beyond boarders musically”, she said
