COURT (UGNEWSLINE) – Exim Bank Uganda Limited has dragged Kampala businesswoman Nabbale, retired Brigadier General Moses Lukyamuzi and the Attorney General to court over alleged contempt of court orders relating to a disputed property in Kabalagala-Kisugu.
The bank accuses the respondents of violating court orders barring them from interfering with property situated on Plot 541, after allegedly evicting workers of Ntami Investment Limited and arresting the company’s Managing Director, Ntare Ponsiono.
According to the bank, the incident happened last month when Nabbale and her co-respondents reportedly went to the property and arrested the workers of Ntami Investment and its owner Ntare Ponsiono.
Ntare claims that his company purchased the property for 95,000 US dollars through execution of a court decree and that ownership was registered in his names on October 27, 2026.
However, he alleges that despite the existing court orders, Nabbale and Lukyamuzi, who heads the Presidential Special Task Force on Land Matters and Environment, went ahead to evict Ntare’s workers and interfere with the property.
He now wants the presiding judge, Patricia Mutesi, to issue a temporary injunction directing the respondents and their agents to restore the property to the position it was in on October 27, 2026, within 24 hours.
Ntare also wants court to order the respondents to vacate the property, withdraw all persons occupying it and restore possession and management to Ntami Investment Limited.
According to the documents before Court , Exim bank seeks orders restraining the respondents from collecting rent from tenants on the property and compelling them to account for any rent collected since October 30, 2026.
The bank also wants the respondents permanently restrained from interfering with the property.
Ntare’s lawyer, Achilles Kazibwe, explained that they have filed their submission and the case was adjourned to November 12 for further proceedings.
