The campaign’s first prize handover saw two lucky customers walk away with essential household appliances, a fridge and a washing machine setting the tone for weeks of exciting rewards still to come.
The celebrations are part of Carrefour’s sixth anniversary, a landmark that reflects the retailer’s steady growth, strong customer loyalty, and continued commitment to quality and affordability. Activities under the Carrefour Big 6 campaign are taking place across all seven Carrefour stores nationwide.
The prize handover ceremony at the Carrefour Lugogo branch stood out as one of the campaign’s highlights, drawing shoppers, staff, and partners into a lively celebration of loyalty and appreciation.
Mr. Ssenyange Umar, a resident of Kyanja, won a fridge and described the moment as both surprising and rewarding. He praised Carrefour for its excellent service and noted that the prize would be extremely useful for his household.

Customers still have multiple chances to win by spending UGX 100,000 or more and scanning their Carrefour MyCLUB app at checkout. Qualifying shoppers stand a chance to win televisions, air fryers, flat irons, fridges, washing machines, and other household items, while six lucky families will each win free shopping for an entire year. The promotion runs until 24th February, giving shoppers ample time to participate.
As part of the anniversary celebrations, Carrefour reaffirmed its commitment to supporting locally produced goods through the Buy Uganda, Build Uganda (BUBU) initiative, reinforcing its contribution to Uganda’s economic growth.
Speaking during the launch of the Big Six campaign, the Carrefour team emphasized that the promotion is a token of appreciation to customers who have remained loyal since the retailer entered the Ugandan market.
Six years on, Carrefour continues to celebrate not just growth, but the customers who have made the journey possible turning everyday shopping into moments worth celebrating.
