The partnership was announced during the launch of the all-new Toyota RAV4 and Toyota Land Cruiser FJ at the Toyota showroom in Kampala’s Industrial Area. Under the arrangement, qualifying customers can access financing of up to 100% of a vehicle’s value at a preferential interest rate of 17% per annum, with repayment periods of up to 84 months, subject to credit approval.
The financing package also includes one year of free fuel, five years of free vehicle servicing, discounted comprehensive insurance, one year of roadside assistance, travel booking discounts, health insurance for two beneficiaries and VIP airport lounge access for eligible cardholders. The offer is designed to lower the upfront cost of vehicle ownership while providing customers with additional value throughout the ownership period.
The all-new Toyota RAV4 features hybrid technology, advanced safety systems and enhanced versatility for everyday driving, while the Toyota Land Cruiser FJ combines the Land Cruiser’s renowned durability with compact SUV practicality suited for both urban and off-road use.
Speaking at the launch, dfcu Bank Chief Executive Officer Charles Mudiwa said access to productive assets remains critical to economic growth, noting that many individuals and businesses struggle to acquire vehicles because of the high upfront capital required.
“Throughout our history, we have seen how access to the right asset can transform an individual’s livelihood or accelerate the growth of a business. Asset finance enables customers to acquire those assets while preserving funds for operations, expansion and other priorities,” Mudiwa said.
CFAO Mobility Uganda Managing Director Etienne Audeoud said today’s customers are looking beyond the vehicle itself and are increasingly considering financing options, maintenance support and the overall cost of ownership.
“Customers want certainty throughout the ownership experience. They want a quality vehicle, professional after-sales support and financing that suits their circumstances. This partnership brings all those elements together to make vehicle ownership more accessible and convenient,” Audeoud said.
The partnership expands dfcu Bank’s Vehicle and Asset Finance portfolio while strengthening CFAO Mobility Uganda’s efforts to offer comprehensive mobility solutions. The two companies say the collaboration will help remove financial barriers to vehicle ownership, enabling more Ugandans to invest in reliable transport while preserving capital for business growth and other priorities.
