Authorities in Butaleja District have arraigned Juma Mulogo, the former Parish Chief of Muyagu Parish, before the Butaleja Magistrate’s Court on charges of forgery and uttering a false document.
The arraignment was conducted through a joint effort by the State House Anti-Corruption Unit, the Criminal Investigations Directorate, and the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions.
According to prosecutors, Juma allegedly forged an academic transcript purportedly from Kyambogo University, claiming he held a Diploma in Public Administration and Management.
He is accused of using the falsified document to secure employment as a Parish Chief in 2021, a position from which he reportedly earned a salary under false pretenses.
Mulongo was remanded in custody until April 28, 2026, as investigations into the matter continue.
