Kasese, Uganda – Police in the Rwenzori East Region, Kasese, are celebrating the arrival of a new ambulance to support their medical and emergency services.
The new ambulance is a major boost to the Police Medical Department and will help officers respond quickly to emergencies, especially in areas that are hard to reach due to the mountainous terrain.
“This new ambulance will help us serve our community better,” said SP Nelson Tumushime, Police Spokesperson for Kasese. “It has come at the right time, and it will help us respond faster and save more lives.”
SP Tumushime thanked the Inspector General of Police Abas Byakagaba, the Deputy IGP, the Director of Medical Services, and all those in the Uganda Police Force who helped make this possible.
The new ambulance is fully equipped with modern medical tools and will work alongside the existing ones to improve healthcare support during emergencies.
“Our team is ready to provide excellent service,” Tumushime added. “We are grateful for this important resource.”
