KAMPALA, Uganda – MTN Uganda today announced its support for the Enkuuka 2025 celebrations, reinforcing its long-standing relationship with CBS and the people of Buganda. The announcement was made during a launch event held at Masengere, Mengo, ahead of the cultural year-end festivities scheduled for 31st December.
The partnership reflects MTN Uganda’s commitment to celebrating with communities, appreciating their loyalty, and giving back in meaningful ways. For the past 27 years, the people of Buganda have played an instrumental role in supporting MTN’s growth, and this year’s collaboration with CBS continues that shared journey.
Speaking at the launch, Augustine Lule, Regional Business Manager–Kampala at MTN Uganda, highlighted the deeper purpose behind the partnership:
“The main aim of this partnership is to strengthen the bond we share with CBS and to celebrate with the people of Buganda who have supported MTN over the last 27 years. Enkuuka is a time when we all give thanks for the blessings of the year, and MTN is honored to join the kingdom and its people in that celebration. This is also our way of giving back and appreciating the communities that continue to support our business.”

As the main telecom partner for Enkuuka 2025, MTN Uganda has introduced a special Enkuuka Bundle designed to help customers stay connected with loved ones throughout the festive period. For only UGX 1,100, customers receive 40 minutes to call all networks, enabling them to reach out to family and friends as they celebrate the close of 2025 and the start of a new year.
Customers can access this offer through the MyMTN App or by dialing 10021#. In addition, MTN is offering discounted digital tickets for Enkuuka through MoMo Ticketing. The standard ticket price is ten thousand shillings when paid in cash; however, customers who pay through MTN MoMo will purchase their tickets at a discounted price of UGX 8,000. These discounted tickets can be purchased through the MoMo App or by dialing 16520#.
CBS Managing Director, Owek. Michael Kawooya Mwebe, welcomed MTN’s partnership, noting its cultural significance:
“Enkuuka is a cherished celebration for our people, and CBS is pleased to partner with MTN Uganda to elevate this year’s festivities. MTN’s support from affordable calling bundles to discounted tickets ensures that more Ugandans can join us as we celebrate the blessings of 2025. This partnership strengthens our shared goal of uplifting our communities and preserving our rich traditions.”

Beyond the bundle and ticket discounts, MTN Uganda will work alongside CBS and other partners to engage customers across the 18 sub-counties through giveaways and community activities designed to bring the celebrations even closer to the people. MTN will also support local talent performing at Enkuuka, many of whom are already featured on the MTN CallerTunez platform.
Lule expressed MTN’s appreciation and commitment to Buganda, adding: “We are grateful to the people of Buganda for their unwavering support over the last 27 years. MTN will continue to seek partnerships that allow us to engage, celebrate, and grow with the communities we serve.”
