MTN Uganda today has unveiled Free Your Data- More GBzzz, Same Same Price” is a major refresh of its Monthly Data Bundles designed to give customers substantially more data at the same price, reinforcing the company’s commitment to empowering Ugandans with greater digital opportunities.

The launch forms part of MTN Uganda’s broader Free Your Fire campaign, a movement that encourages young people to pursue their passions, build businesses, create content, learn new skills and unlock their full potential through the power of connectivity. By increasing the value of its monthly data bundles, MTN is ensuring that more Ugandans can stay connected for longer while doing more of what matters to them.

Whether it is a university student attending online classes, a content creator uploading their next viral video, a young entrepreneur running an online business, or a professional collaborating remotely, dependable and affordable connectivity remains at the centre of everyday life. Through Free Your Data, MTN is making it easier for customers to fuel those ambitions with even more data every month.

Speaking about the launch, Sylvia El-Sheikh, Chief Marketing Officer, MTN Uganda, said:

“At MTN, we believe every Ugandan has a fire within them—a passion, an ambition or a dream waiting to be realized. Through our Free Your Fire campaign, we are committed to enabling our customers access digital tools that help turn those ambitions into reality. Free Your Data is another important step in that journey because it gives our customers more data, more freedom and more opportunities to learn, create, work, entertain themselves and grow, all without paying more.”

She added that the refreshed monthly bundles reflect MTN’s continued investment in creating meaningful customer value while delivering the reliable connectivity that enables Uganda’s digital future.

Customers purchasing the UGX 6,500 monthly bundle will now receive 2GB instead of 1.5GB. The popular UGX 10,000 Hero Pack has been enhanced from 3.2GB to 4GB, while the UGX 26,000 Hero Pack now doubles in value, increasing from 10GB to an impressive 20GB. Customers choosing the UGX 50,000 monthly bundle will now enjoy 45GB instead of 22GB, the UGX 100,000 bundle increases from 48GB to 100GB, and the UGX 170,000 bundle now offers 200GB compared to the previous 85GB allocation.

The new monthly data bundles are now available to all MTN customers as a permanent offering. Customers can activate the bundles by dialing *100*2# and selecting Monthly Bundles or through the MyMTNApp. The offers are also available on our MoMo platform via *165*2# or directly via the MoMo App.
