The incident happened at around 2:00am at Stabex Fuel Station, Namakonkome Cell, Gombe Division, Nansana Municipality, Wakiso District.
Preliminary findings indicate that a group of unidentified assailants, armed with pangas and hammers, attacked the fuel station and robbed , a laptop, three mobile phones, and an unspecified amount of cash from staff on duty.
The Kampala Metropolitan police spokesman, Luke Owoyesigyire said Police were alerted and responded to the scene.
“Our teams are actively pursuing all leads to arrest those responsible,” he noted.
In a viral video circulating on various social media platforms, about three hooded men holding pangas and another holding a rifle are seen forcing themselves into an office where two women were seated.
They demand for money as they pick several items including a laptop, phones and money they found on table among others.
They later resort to breaking a metallic box inside the box using several tools including a hammer but all in vain. They are seen struggling to open it until unidentified man came from out and hit one of them before taking off.
In confusion, their mission seemed disrupted and left chasing the man.
