The Rotary Club of Kitende Breeze will on Thursday, August 6, 2026, conduct a day-long Breeze Medical Transformation Camp at Tuzukuke Primary School in Kitovu, Kitende, Kajjansi Town Council, Wakiso District, aimed at improving the health and well-being of vulnerable communities.
The club president, Rtn. Richard Mujjuzi, revealed the programme during an interview with this website on August 2, 2026, while unveiling activities for the club’s maiden official visit by Rotary District 9214 Governor Rtn. Daniel Mukasa Ddamulira.
Mujjuzi said the medical camp will serve residents from Najjanankumbi, Namasuba, Seguku, Lweza, Kajjansi, Kitende, Bwebajja, Kisubi and surrounding areas.
He noted that participants will benefit from a wide range of services, including medical check-ups, health education, menstrual hygiene awareness, nutrition counselling, financial literacy, sanitation awareness, and education and literacy programmes.
According to Mujjuzi, Tuzukuke Primary School, which was founded by the Church of Uganda in the 1950s, remains the club’s flagship community project. He said the Rotary Club has continued to invest in improving education, healthcare, sanitation, infrastructure and teacher development at the school to provide a better learning environment for its 242 pupils.
He explained that the club’s long-term vision is to ensure learners have access to quality education in a safe and well-equipped environment that supports their academic and personal development.
The day’s activities will conclude with the official visit of District Governor Rtn. Daniel Mukasa Ddamulira at Kaaro Chill & Grill in Kitende, where Rotarians and invited guests will receive guidance on Rotary service, leadership, resource mobilization, membership growth and strengthening professional networks.
Mujjuzi, who was recently installed as president of the Rotary Club of Kitende Breeze, said the district governor’s visit presents an opportunity for members to draw inspiration from his Rotary journey while reaffirming the club’s commitment to impactful community service.
