Six cousins have faced severe punishment for their involvement in sexual activities. The group, consisting of three males and three females, reportedly engaged in sexual relations with one another, which is considered taboo in their culture.
Reports indicate that these six individuals had been secretly involved for two years until clan leaders and family members conducted a raid on their home, catching them in the act after a lengthy surveillance prompted by a concerned family member’s tip-off.
The individuals involved are Tabica Akello, 23, Gerald Oruru, 25, Fred Okello, 25, Irene Akello, 21, Jasper Alomo, 19, and Immaculate Acan, 18, all of whom reside in Adyepa Paris, located in Aduku Sub County, Kwania District, within the Lango Sub Region, and are members of the Eling Clan.
During the clan meeting, they sought forgiveness for their actions.
As part of the cleansing ritual and punishment, they were subjected to flogging and imposed heavy penalties, with each individual required to pay shs150,000 and provide a goat.
