Ugandan author and social media personality Aumulen Victoria Hope, popularly known as OnePercent, is set to launch her new 62-page book, My New Era: From Heartbreak to Becoming, on Monday, August 10, 2026, during an X Space.

The book chronicles her personal journey through love, disappointment, heartbreak, healing and self-discovery, while encouraging women to rediscover their worth and rebuild their lives after difficult relationships.

In the book, Hope dedicates her story to women who are silently struggling with heartbreak, including those who appear happy in public but cry in private, continue hoping for messages from former partners, or feel that the end of a relationship also marks the end of their lives.“This book is for you. And it is also for the woman I was,” she says in the dedication.

Hope says the experience of losing a relationship became a turning point that forced her to reflect on her identity, purpose and future.

She explains that when her relationship ended, she realized that while she had been trying to hold on to someone else, she had almost lost herself in the process.

The experience, she says, taught her that her worth should not be determined by another person’s love, attention or absence.

“Instead of allowing the ending to break me, I chose to use it as a beginning,” Hope says, describing how she redirected her attention towards herself, her career, dreams, travel plans and future, as well as strengthening her relationship with herself.
Through My New Era, Hope hopes to remind women that the end of a relationship does not necessarily mean the end of their story. She says heartbreak can also become an opportunity for personal growth, healing and transformation.
“Sometimes, losing someone helps you find yourself,” she says.

The book therefore presents her personal journey from heartbreak to healing and ultimately to self-discovery, focusing on the decision to choose oneself, rebuild and embrace a new chapter in life.

The launch of My New Era: From Heartbreak to Becoming will take place on X Space on August 10, 2026.
Readers and members of the public interested in connecting with Hope or learning more about the book can reach her through MTN on 0780307963 or Airtel on 0700846685.

She is also available on Instagram, X and TikTok under the handle OnePercentO7.
