KAMPALA, Uganda : All roads led to Trinity College Nabbingo for the 2025 annual Christmas Carols, where students participated in a mixed grill of entertainment activities, including drama depicting the birth of Christ, praise songs, and a live college jazz band that thrilled the congregation.
The event took place on 3rd December 2025 at the college in Kyengera Town Council, Wakiso District, and was attended by parents, students, alumni, staff, and other invited guests.
The chief guest was Rev. Fr. Ambrose Bwangato, the Kampala Archdiocese pastoral coordinator and newly appointed parish priest of Nabbingo Parish, replacing the outgoing Rev. Fr. Charles Kiggundu, who moves to Nkozi as the area parish priest.
Fr. Bwangato appreciated the college for inviting him to officiate at such a religious event, noting that it was his first since taking up his new role.
He urged all parents and community members to take care of the children returning home for the long festive holiday, saying it is incumbent upon everyone to share the responsibility of nurturing children within their communities.
He commended the students who performed during the Christmas Carols, saying the carols remind everyone of the Biblical events surrounding the birth of Jesus Christ.
Fr. Bwangato congratulated the college leadership, especially the chaplain, Rev. J. C. Kiwanuka, for spearheading the organization of such a spiritually nourishing memorial event that teaches humanity how to behave and coexist with others in today’s challenging society.
The college headmistress, Ms. Lwanga Immaculate Nasozi, highlighted the many achievements attained during the outgoing year.
She thanked all stakeholders who have supported several flagship projects, including the construction of the state-of-the-art 2,500-seater chapel and the proposed Trinity Junior School, which will act as a feeder institution for the college.
“Our junior school project requires 14 billion shillings to complete. We appreciate the college board and the Catholic Church leadership at Lubaga for donating land,” noted Nasozi, adding that they call upon all friends of the college fraternity to support the project, which will create a lasting legacy for former students.
Nasozi urged parents to take charge of their children’s discipline as they return home, saying the college has done its part in instilling discipline and good morals among the learners, whom she hopes will contribute positively to the future of tomorrow’s world.
The outgoing parish priest was presented with gifts in appreciation of his dedicated service to both the college and the community at large.
