Police confirmed that both the suspect and the deceased were Rwandan nationals who had been living in Kyankwanzi District and working as casual labourers in Butemba Town Council. The deceased was a mother of three children, none of whom are with the suspect.
Investigations into the matter are nearly complete, and the case file is awaiting perusal by the Resident State Attorney of Kyankwanzi for the sanctioning of murder charges.
