Tension has mounted in Triangle Zone, Mulago II Parish, Kawempe Division, after the National Unity Platform (NUP) officially fielded Nabbosa Teddy to contest for the Village Women Council seat.
Nabbosa will face the incumbent, Blick Wendy of the National Resistance Movement (NRM), and Nansubuga Rosette, an NRM-leaning independent candidate who is campaigning under the slogan “Pot.”
The contest took shape on July 16, 2026, during the second day of the ongoing nomination exercise for Local Council I and Women Council elections for Mulago II Parish. The nominations were conducted at the Presidential Small Scale Common User Facility in UEB Zone, Old Mulago.
Accompanied by chanting NUP supporters, Nabbosa was officially nominated by Kawempe Division Parish Elections Officer Musa Nsubuga.
Speaking shortly after her nomination, Nabbosa said she was ready to serve the people of Triangle Zone if entrusted with the position.
She pledged to work closely with all stakeholders to improve access to quality public services, including government programmes such as Emyooga, the Parish Development Model (PDM), and women and youth empowerment initiatives.
Nabbosa also promised to engage the Kampala Capital City Authority (KCCA) to ensure that children from vulnerable communities have access to free Universal Primary Education (UPE), Universal Secondary Education (USE), vocational skills training, and quality healthcare services.
