Ugandan socialite and entrepreneur Prima Kardashi has opened up about a troubling experience she says followed a visit to a traditional healer while seeking help for her struggling food business.
Prima recently announced the closure of her food business, Prima Lusaniya, after two years, saying the venture had struggled financially and was no longer generating enough income.
During a live TikTok broadcast, Prima told her followers that she was advised to visit a witchdoctor in Bududa District in eastern Uganda in an attempt to revive the business.
She said she travelled deep into Bududa, where she was subjected to rituals that included being bathed in herbs.
However, instead of improving her situation, Prima said her problems intensified after the experience.
“When my business was failing, someone suggested that I should visit a witchdoctor for cleansing. I went and they bathed me with herbs, but it became worse. I started getting nightmares and randomly waking up in the middle of the night with a lot of fear. Sometimes I would see things that frightened me at night,” she said.
Prima said the experiences became so distressing that she eventually turned to the church for help.
She attributed her recovery to prayer and her faith in God, saying the experience taught her to seek spiritual guidance through her faith.
“It became worse and I had to run to church. Imagine moving for miles to Bududa just to look for these people. What if I had gotten into an accident all in the name of witchcraft? Only praying and trusting in God can improve the situation, but the devil can make you suffer. This is God’s testimony and I thank Him for looking out for me,” she said.
Prima, who now fellowships with Pastor Wilson Bugembe, said prayer and church have since become an important part of her life.
Her revelations come shortly after she announced the closure of Prima Lusaniya, ending a two-year journey in the food business.
