As part part of the company’s agenda to restore the ecosystem and combat the effects of climate change, AAR Insurance Uganda has planted 1,000 trees in Zirobwe Kyambogo Village.

The initiative launched by the Managing Director, Christine Nassuna underscores the company’s unwavering commitment to sustainability and environmental responsibility.

Ms Nassuna described the tree planting innitietive as a powerful affirmation of the company’s unwavering commitment to engage with its customers and communities.

“This transformative campaign embodies our shared ambition to integrate Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) principles into our everyday operations moving sustainability beyond rhetoric and into meaningful action,” Nassuna noted.

This effort aligns not only with the company’s ESG agenda but also with a broader commitments to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), as proud members of the UN Global Compact

She explained that as a key part of this initiative, the One Tree for Life program reinforces the company’s dedication to environmental stewardship by actively reducing carbon footprint.

“This initiative marks the beginning of our pledge: for every life we insure, we’ll plant a tree. It’s our way of promoting a sustainable future while aligning with the Agenda 2030 Sustainable Development Goals. As a responsible business, we believe in action over words and we invite like-minded organizations to join us in making sustainability a core part of their mission.”

To mark its significant 40th anniversary, AAR Insurance recently rolled out a nationwide tree-planting initiative of 40,000 trees.

This initiative is part of the broader ‘A Tree a Life’ program, officially kicked off in Nairobi and at all AAR Insurance branches nationwide.
