AIM Global Uganda has launched an independent audit aimed at strengthening accountability, promoting transparency, and reinforcing ethical business practices within its operations.
The announcement was made during a press conference held in Kampala on Monday, where the company’s legal representative, Samuel Kakande of Silicon Advocates, said the audit is intended to identify and address any breaches of company procedures while ensuring compliance with the law.
The development follows recent allegations published by a local newspaper claiming that police raided a residence in Nkumba, Katabi Town Council, where more than 50 young people from different parts of the country were allegedly rescued after being lured with promises of lucrative employment opportunities by individuals reportedly linked to AIM Global.
The publication further alleged that the victims lost money and were coerced into online fraud schemes targeting other Ugandans.
Responding to the allegations, Kakande maintained that AIM Global Uganda operates a legitimate direct-selling business specializing in health and wellness products, adding that the company does not recruit members through payment of fees.
“AIM Global is a globally recognized health and wellness distribution company committed to improving lives through premium health products and sustainable entrepreneurial opportunities,” Kakande said.
He explained that the company’s business model is based on the sale and distribution of products, with distributors earning income from retail sales and the growth of product distribution networks rather than recruitment fees.
“Our business is designed to empower ordinary individuals through product distribution and global networking opportunities. Compensation is earned through lawful product sales and legitimate business activities conducted in accordance with company policies,” he said.
Kakande dismissed claims that the company promotes unrealistic financial promises, emphasizing that AIM Global does not endorse or authorize anyone to promise guaranteed wealth or overnight success.
“We strongly condemn individuals who misrepresent our business opportunity by making false promises of instant riches. Such conduct is contrary to our values and company policies,” he said.
To further strengthen accountability, Kakande announced that the company has adopted a zero-tolerance policy against fraudulent, deceptive, and unethical conduct. He warned that distributors or representatives found violating company policies or applicable laws will face disciplinary action, including suspension, termination of distributorship rights, and possible referral to law enforcement agencies.
As part of its transparency measures, AIM Global Uganda has commissioned an independent audit of its operations to identify any internal procedural breaches, with offenders to face prosecution where appropriate.
The company also announced plans to establish a direct communication channel through which members of the public can obtain accurate information about its products and business operations. In addition, it intends to expand community outreach and public awareness campaigns promoting responsible entrepreneurship and consumer education.
Kakande invited members of the public, government agencies, and aspiring entrepreneurs to visit AIM Global’s official offices and engage directly with authorized representatives to better understand the company’s products and business model.
“We remain committed to serving Ugandans with world-class health and wellness products while providing a legitimate platform for entrepreneurship, personal growth, and ethical business practices,” he said.
AIM Global maintains that it operates within the law and remains committed to transparency, consumer protection, and regulatory compliance.
