Mukono, Uganda — The Dean of Students at Uganda Christian University (UCU), Ms. Pamela Tumwebaze, has died after being attacked by unknown assailants at her home.
The university confirmed her death in an official statement issued early Wednesday morning.
“It is with great sadness that we inform you of the passing of Ms. Pamela Tumwebaze, the Director of Student Affairs, and member of the Uganda Christian University Senior Management. She went to be with the LORD in the early hours of Wednesday, February 11, 2026,” the statement read.
Details surrounding the circumstances of the attack remain unclear, and authorities had not yet released an official statement by press time.
Tumwebaze was last seen on Tuesday evening addressing students during a fellowship at Nkoyoyo Hall on the UCU campus.
The university has not yet announced details regarding funeral arrangements but called upon the UCU community to keep her family in prayer during this difficult time.
Investigations into the incident has commence as police work to establish the circumstances surrounding her death.
