Kasese, Uganda – Police in Kasese District have today arrested a driver, Joseph Ziryawulamu, for operating a motor vehicle in a manner that endangered other road users. The arrest was made in accordance with Code 6 of the revised Road and Safety Act.
The vehicle, a motorcar with registration number UAN 422X, was impounded while en route to Bwera-Mpondwe Border Town.

According to Superintendent of Police (SP) Onono George, the Regional Traffic Officer for Rwenzori East Region – Kasese, the offense carries a standard fine of UGX 200,000.

SP Nelson Tumushime, spokesperson for the Kasese Police, urged all drivers, motorcyclists, and pedestrians to adhere strictly to traffic and road safety regulations.
He warned that violators will be apprehended and prosecuted in accordance with the law.
