Kampala City Traders Association ( KACITA) Executive Board has this afternoon announced the appointment of Hajji Issa Sekitto as the Substantive Acting Chairman of the Association, with immediate effect.
The decision was reached during an Extraordinary Executive Board Meeting convened on Monday, 4th August 2025, at the KACITA offices.
The Board unanimously resolved to appoint Hajji Issa Sekitto to this role in order to provide stable leadership and safeguard the interests of both the Association and the wider business community.
The Executive Board has also extended sincere appreciation to Dr. Thadeus Musoke Nagenda, the former Acting Chairman, for his outstanding service and dedication to the entire business community.
Dr. Musoke has now embarked on his political journey, and in recognition of his decision, the Board found it necessary to appoint new leadership.
This move will enable Dr. Musoke to fully engage in politics, as KACITA-UGANDA is a non-political organization solely committed to addressing issues affecting the business community in Uganda.
The Executive Board has urged all members, partners, and stakeholders to extend their full support and cooperation to Hajji Issa Sekitto as he steers the Association through this important phase.
