Rubaare Town has been left in shock following the sudden death of a man who was discovered lifeless in a lodge room at Amahoro Bar and Lodges in Rubaare 2 on Friday night.
The deceased, whose identity has not yet been made public, was found inside Room 7 under unclear circumstances, prompting immediate concern from staff and local authorities.
According to the lodge manager, Mr. Niwamanya Bruce, the man arrived at the facility in the morning at around 10:00am. He is said to have purchased two bottles of Guinness beer before proceeding to his room, where he remained until he was later found unresponsive.
“We are deeply shocked by what happened. He checked in normally and nothing unusual was observed at the time,” Niwamanya said.
The discovery has raised questions within the community, with residents expressing concern over safety standards and monitoring of guests in local hospitality establishments.
Mr. Ndebesa Milton, the LC1 Chairperson of Rubaare 2 and head of local chairpersons, called for heightened vigilance among lodge and bar operators, emphasizing the importance of proper guest records and cooperation with security agencies.
“This incident is unfortunate and should be a wake-up call. All establishments must ensure proper identification and documentation of their customers,” he said.
Security personnel responded swiftly to the scene and cordoned off the area as investigations commenced. The body was later taken for postmortem to help determine the exact cause of death.
By press time, authorities had not yet released official findings, as investigations into the mysterious death continue.
