Kampala, Uganda – MTN Uganda officially announced its sponsorship of Alive in the Park: The Big Party, a landmark gospel music festival set to take place on Friday 12th September 2025 at Millennium Park, Lugogo (formerly KCCA Grounds).

The announcement was made during a press conference held at the MTN Uganda headquarters, where MTN confirmed its role as a proud partner of the festival and unveiled a limited-time flash sale on tickets through the MTN MoMo app, ensuring more Ugandans have the chance to join this celebration of faith, music, and unity.

Speaking at the press conference, Mavis Ndagire Musungu, GTM Digital Specialist at MTN Uganda, said:

“At MTN Uganda, our commitment is to stand with the music industry. For 18 years we’ve empowered artists and continue to uplift them by providing platforms and solutions that make it easy for fans to access their music and event tickets through MTN CallerTunez and MoMo ticketing. Through CallerTunez, both local and international artists can place their music directly in the hands of fans. It will be an honor to host you, Pompi, on the platform too.”

Ronnie Habasa, founder of Vineyard Entertainment Group (VEG), the organizers of Alive in the Park, added:

“Our vision at Vine is simple: to provide clean, alternative, premium events in Africa. Alive in the Park was born five years ago during COVID, when our very first edition had to be held virtually. Since then, we’ve hosted four more, and this 5th one is a true celebration—a big party bringing together the amazing artists we’ve worked with over the years. We’re looking forward to an unforgettable time of worship, music, and joy.”

Headlining artist Pompi, one of Zambia’s most celebrated gospel musicians, promised fans an experience to remember:

“I can’t wait to share this stage with Theresa Phondo, Afrie and all the talented Ugandan artists. It’s going to be an unforgettable night of praise and celebration. Kampala, get ready!”

Tickets for Alive in the Park: The Big Party are priced at UGX 30,000 for ordinary entry, with early bird tickets previously available at UGX 20,000. VIP tickets are going for UGX 70,000, while the exclusive VVIP experience is available at UGX 150,000. Fans can purchase tickets seamlessly via the MTN MoMo app or by dialing *165*20#. Thanks to a limited flash sale, fans grabbed tickets at 50% off for just one day.

As the countdown to September 12th begins, MTN Uganda and Vine Entertainment Group invite all Ugandans to be part of this landmark gospel celebration. With Pompi, Theresa Phondo, Afrie and Uganda’s finest gospel acts on one stage, Alive in the Park: The Big Party promises to be the highlight of the gospel music calendar.

MTN Uganda is proud to stand with the gospel music community, because when Ugandans come together in music and worship, our music is truly unstoppable.
