Kampala, Uganda: MTN Uganda has today officially launched MTN Ads, a powerful digital advertising solution that is already helping businesses of all sizes reach their audiences more effectively, efficiently, and with greater relevance. Having been live and tested over the past year, MTN Ads is now fully rolled out digital advertising platform, bringing with it the scale of over 22 million MTN subscribers across Uganda and the intelligence to help brands connect meaningfully with their customers.

In today’s competitive market, visibility is no longer enough. Brands need to speak directly to the people who matter most to their business, and do so in ways that are relevant, timely, and cost-effective. MTN Ads answers this call by offering an intelligent platform that delivers precision through deep insights drawn from user behavior, demographics, and location.

MTN Ads offers precision targeting, real-time performance tracking, and personalized messaging for businesses seeking to engage customers.

The platform allows businesses to craft customized campaigns that align with their specific goals; whether it’s increasing foot traffic, driving online conversions, boosting sales, or raising brand awareness.

The launch event, held at the Annual Marketers FirePlace at Hotel Africana in Kampala brought together marketing professionals, media buyers, agency partners, and business owners. They lauded MTN Ads for the innovative marketing solution that offers relevance, simplicity, and measurable value.

While launching the platform, Susan Kayemba, the Senior Manager Digital Services at MTN, said: “With MTN Ads, we are ushering in a new era of digital advertising in Uganda. Businesses now have a direct and powerful channel to engage their customers in ways that are personal, measurable, and effective. We’re not just connecting brands to audiences — we’re connecting people to experiences that ignite action. With over 22 million customers on our network, MTN Ads is the bridge between a brand’s message and the right audience. This is how businesses will make their mark.”

From startups looking to gain their first customers, to established enterprises seeking deeper customer loyalty, MTN Ads is built to serve every type of business. A local restaurant can run a promotion targeting only users within its area of operation and reach. A retail brand can announce a new product to customers who have shown past interest in similar offers. Even financial institutions can launch campaigns that speak directly to specific customer segments based on behaviour, device usage and other indicators.

In addition to hyper-targeting, businesses using MTN Ads benefit from a free business Directory Listing, a free zero- rated branded page on www.mtnads.co.ug, guaranteed audience reach, depending on package taken and most importantly, real-time performance tracking.

The platform provides transparent insights into how each campaign is performing, making it easy to optimize messaging, improve returns, and make data-informed decisions with confidence. Customers can sign up for all these benefits and more on; www.mtnads.co.ug

The launch of MTN Ads reflects MTN Uganda’s continued commitment to driving inclusive digital and economic growth in the country. It is aligned with the company’s broader Ambition 2025 strategy, a vision to build digital platforms that empower individuals, businesses, and communities to thrive in a modern, connected world.

For customers, MTN Ads also enhances their mobile experience by delivering offers and promotions that are meaningful and timely rather than generic or intrusive. When businesses advertise with MTN, they are not just reaching customers, they are creating value, building relationships, and becoming part of everyday life.

MTN Uganda invites all businesses, from local entrepreneurs to global brands to explore the MTN Ads platform and discover how they can advertise to millions, engage with impact, and truly make their mark.
