Kayole, Kenya – An atmosphere of learning, reflection, and unity marked a special public exam and dialogue on the Book of Revelation held in the Kayole area on December 13. Organized by the Shincheonji Church of Jesus, the event brought together pastors from various Christian denominations for an in-depth engagement with one of the Bible’s most profound and symbolic books.
Anchored in Revelation 1:1–2—“The revelation from Jesus Christ, which God gave him to show his servants what must soon take place,” the program aimed to highlight the importance of understanding the biblical message within its prophetic and historical context, especially in today’s era.
A total of 24 pastors from established churches accepted the invitation to participate in a public exam focused on the Book of Revelation. The exercise was designed not as a competition, but as an opportunity for self-assessment, discussion, and mutual growth in biblical knowledge.
Participants described the session as eye-opening and thought-provoking, reinforcing the idea that true learning often begins with recognizing what one has yet to fully understand.
According to the organizers, the exam results revealed a clear contrast in familiarity with the Book of Revelation. Instructors and pastors from Shincheonji demonstrated a comprehensive grasp of the subject, while visiting pastors acknowledged that the experience exposed areas where deeper study was needed. Rather than discouragement, the outcome sparked curiosity and respect, leading to constructive conversations and a renewed interest in studying prophecy more systematically.
One participating pastor shared his reflection, saying, “Through this exam and event, I have come to realize for the first time that the foundation of God’s work is recorded in the books of Genesis and Revelation. By studying these two books more closely, I believe I can gain a clearer understanding of how God works on this earth.”
Many attendees expressed appreciation for the structured approach to biblical teaching and signaled openness to continued dialogue and cooperation. The event underscored a shared desire among Christian leaders to grow in understanding and to guide their congregations with clarity and confidence rooted in Scripture.
Building on the success of the Kayole gathering, Shincheonji Church of Jesus announced plans to host similar Revelation-based seminars and public engagements across different regions of Kenya. The initiative seeks to promote biblical literacy, unity among believers, and a deeper appreciation of Scripture’s message in the present time.
As the event concluded, participants left with a renewed sense of purpose, encouraged by the belief that sincere study, open dialogue, and humility before God’s word can lead to greater spiritual insight for both leaders and congregations alike.
