MENGO, Kampala: Pearl Bank, has supported the efforts of the Church of Uganda (COU) Education Directorate to improve access for Diocesan Education Inspectors (DEIs) to schools, particularly in underserved areas.
Pearl Bank has procured motorcycles to ease transportation to rural schools for diocesan education inspectors.
The Executive Director of Operations at Pearl Bank, Martin Mugisha, thanked the Church of Uganda, through the Archbishop, for its continued role in shaping Uganda’s education landscape through its extensive network of schools.
He said, “Education is a fundamental pillar of national development. Our partnership with the Church of Uganda Education Directorate reflects Pearl Bank’s commitment to supporting education and community development.
“By facilitating the mobility of Diocesan Education Inspectors, we are directly contributing to improved oversight and the quality of education, especially in underserved areas. This initiative aligns with our purpose of fostering prosperity for Ugandans,” Mugisha added.
The Archbishop, The Most Rev. Dr. Stephen Samuel Kazimba Mugalu, expressed appreciation to Pearl Bank for its generous support in enabling Diocesan Education Inspectors (DEIs) to carry out their work effectively.
“We are grateful to Pearl Bank for its continued partnership with the Church of Uganda and for the tangible support toward improving our education initiatives,” he said.
He added, “The motorcycles will enable our DEIs to reach previously inaccessible schools and ensure consistent quality in education delivery.”
Through such initiatives, Pearl Bank continues to support key sectors like education, ultimately empowering communities and contributing to the nation’s socio-economic development, in line with its purpose of fostering prosperity for Ugandans.
