The police have dismissed the viral allegations of arrests and torture at Buddo Junior Police, labeling the individuals behind these claims as mere attention seekers.

Police spokesperson, Rusoke Kituuma stated that, in response to the accusations, the police investigated the situation and discovered that the local council had no knowledge of these issues.

“A video is running on social media platforms with claims by an unidentified woman and man claiming that private vehicles are being used to forcibly arrest young people in the Buddo-Nakasozi area,” he noted.

They further allege that those who are apprehended are taken to Buddo Junior Police, where they are handed machetes for staged photos meant to wrongfully portray them as criminals.

It is also claimed that those who decline to take part in this scheme face torture.

Kituuma pointed out that the two individuals urged the residents of Nakasozi to assemble and demonstrate at Buddo Junior Police in protest of what they see as injustices against innocent people.

He further explained that Buddo Junior Police Post is not fully operational due to ongoing construction, and all police matters are currently being managed at Buddo Kings College Police Post

“Similar allegations have been made before by individuals seeking attention and creating social media content through irresponsible and subversive methods, therefore, we shall investigate the allegations thoroughly and take appropriate action due to their security implications,” he added.
