Three arrested in over motorcycle robberies
The Police in Wakiso have arrested three suspects in connection with a spate of motorcycle robberies during an intelligence led operation.
During the operation police also recovered 10 suspected stolen motorcycles.
According to the Kampala Metropolitan spokesperson, Racheal Kawala, the operation followed a case of aggravated robbery of a motorcycle Reg No. UMA 191DV a Bajaj Boxer, reported by one Equian Ssesanga on February 13, 2026 at around 2200 hours.
Reports indicate that the attackers, allegedly armed with pangas, forcefully robbed him of the motorcycle.
Kawala said the suspects were arrested from Old Kampala, Bukesa–Nankulabye, where 10 suspected stolen motorcycles were also recovered.
During interrogation, the suspects confessed to involvement in:
motorcycle robberies, highway phone snatching, house breaking, theft and related criminal activities.
The recovered motorcycles include: UDH 516H, UGB 248V, UEV 046C, UDH 746H, UDK 657F, and UDN 001C.
Police says four numberless Bajaj motorcycles were also recovered and
Investigations are still ongoing.
