As Senior Four candidates across Uganda sit for their crucial Biology Practical Paper today October 21, 2025, the Uganda National Examinations Board (UNEB) has issued a firm reminder urging all students to maintain discipline and uphold the highest standards of integrity throughout the examination period.
Jennifer Kalule-Musamba, UNEB’s Principal Public Relations Officer, revealed that the Board has received troubling reports from several schools about early signs of indiscipline among some candidates.
She warned that such behavior, if left unchecked, could escalate into examination malpractice, attracting severe consequences.
She outlined a range of unacceptable conduct, including tearing books and papers, fighting, consuming alcohol or drugs, abusing fellow students, teachers, or invigilators, and any other actions that violate school rules or examination regulations.
She also condemned disruptive behaviors such as making noise, defying invigilators, or damaging school property, emphasizing that these acts would not be tolerated.
“Candidates involved in such misconduct risk disqualification, arrest, and even being barred from participating in future UNEB examinations,” she cautioned.
The UNEB spokesperson encouraged candidates to remain calm, focused, and respectful during the exams, highlighting that discipline and honesty are key not only to personal success but also to preserving the credibility of the national assessment process.
“Integrity during examinations reflects the values we uphold as a country,” Kalule-Musamba added.
Following the Biology Practical Paper, most candidates are expected to take a short break before resuming their elective exams next week.
