A new audio translation of the New Testament in the Ludadili language has been dedicated in a ceremony aimed at making the Scriptures more accessible to the Ludadili-speaking community.
The Prayer and Dedication Ceremony was held at Bible House and brought together religious leaders and other stakeholders involved in the translation and distribution of the Scriptures.
The FDC Secretary General, Mandala Mafabi who attended the ceremony as Guest of Honour, commended the Bible Society of Uganda for its efforts to make the Word of God available to different communities through translations into local languages.
He said his work this year would focus largely on teaching the Bible and the Quran.
He noted that making the Scriptures available in languages people understand is not only important for spreading the Word of God, but also contributes to preserving culture and strengthening communities.
He added that ensuring people can access the Scriptures in their own languages helps make sure that no one is left behind in accessing the Word of God.
The Ludadili New Testament Audio Bible is expected to help more members of the community listen to and engage with the Scriptures in a language they understand.
