KAMPALA, Uganda (UGNEWSLINE) –MTN Uganda has handed over the first motorcycle under season 2 – Digida N’akayimba Ko promotion, marking the start of a series of handovers that will see 20 lucky customers receive motorcycles as part of the ongoing nationwide campaign.
To participate, customers simply dial *170*12# and download their preferred Caller Tunez song for only UGX 700. Customers can also copy another customer’s Caller Tunez by pressing * or # while calling them.
Each eligible activation gives customers an opportunity to participate in the campaign’s prize draws. A total of 20 motorcycles will be awarded to lucky customers, while a cumulative UGX 42 million in cash prizes will also be won during campaign activations across the country.
Speaking at the handover, Susan Kayemba, Senior Manger Digital Services at MTN Uganda, said the promotion demonstrates MTN Uganda’s commitment to rewarding its customers while supporting Ugandan music through its digital services.
“Digida N’akayimba Ko is about celebrating the music that connects us as Ugandans while rewarding our customers for engaging with the services they enjoy. Today’s handover is an important milestone as we award the first of 20 motorcycles. We look forward to celebrating many more winners as the campaign continues across the country,” Walakira said.
He added that the motorcycles have the potential to create meaningful economic opportunities for the winners.
“A motorcycle can be much more than a prize. For a winner, it can become a source of income, support a family or help build a small business. We are pleased that through Digida N’akayimba Ko, an everyday digital service can translate into something that has a meaningful impact on our customers’ lives,” he said.
Beyond rewarding customers, Digida N’akayimba Ko reinforces MTN Uganda’s commitment to supporting Ugandan music. Through Caller Tunez, customers can personalise their caller experience with music from local artists, helping Ugandan music reach wider audiences while creating opportunities for artists to earn royalties from the use of their music.
“We want customers across the country to be part of Digida N’akayimba Ko. Simply dial *170*12#, download your favourite Caller Tunez song for only UGX 700, and stand a chance to win. At the same time, every song downloaded helps us celebrate and support the Ugandan music that connects us,” Walakira added.
MTN Uganda has also cautioned customers to remain vigilant against fraudsters who may attempt to take advantage of the promotion. Winners are contacted through MTN Uganda’s official line, 0312120000, and no payment or Mobile Money transfer is required to claim a prize. Customers should never share their Mobile Money PIN or send money to anyone claiming to facilitate a win.
Through Digida N’akayimba Ko, MTN Uganda continues to bring together customer rewards, Ugandan music and digital engagement, creating value for customers while supporting the local music ecosystem.
