KAMPALA, Uganda (UGNEWSLINE) –  Service Cops Limited, the technology partner powering Kwaata Sente through its Vantage Loan Management System (LMS), has committed to more innovation on the heels of the official launch of the innovative digital lending solution.

The solution brings together Centenary Bank, Airtel Money and gnuGrid Technologies to expand access to short term credit for eligible Airtel Money customers in Uganda enabling individuals and businesses to access financing opportunities through their mobile money wallets.

The partnership combines Centenary Bank’s lending capabilities, Airtel Money’s mobile money platform and customer distribution network, and gnuGrid Technologies’ credit- scoring capabilities, with Service Cops providing the loan management technology that supports the lending operations.

Through its Vantage Loan Management System, Service Cops supports key lending processes, including loan processing, disbursement, repayment tracking and portfolio monitoring.

The platform facilitates interoperability between the participating partners, enabling the technology and financial services infrastructure required to manage loans through a digital channel.

This role is central to the operation of Kwaata Sente, connecting the partners’ respective capabilities within a coordinated lending process. While gnuGrid Technologies supports credit assessment using digital footprints, Vantage LMS provides the infrastructure for managing the resulting lending operations,

Kwaata Sente enables eligible Airtel Money customers to apply for loans starting at UGX 10,000, subject to approval and individual borrowing limits. Approved funds are disbursed directly into customers” Airtel Money wallets

The service is designed to reduce barriers to conventional borrowing by removing the need for a bank branch visit or conventional collateral, subiect to the product’s eligibility and approval requirements.

Speaking at the launch, Centenary Bank Managing Director Godfrey Byekwaso highlighted the opportunity to extend the bank’s reach through digital banking services, including to customers who may not already bank with the institution.

“You don’t have to be a Centenary Bank customer to access these services,” Byekwaso said, underscoring the potential for the partnership to reach a wider segment of Ugandans through digital channels

Advancing Digital Lending Through Partnership

Kwaata Sente demonstrates how collaboration between banking, mobile money, credit assessment and technology providers can support the development of more accessible digital financial services. Each partner contributes a distinct capability: Centenary Bank provides the lending, Airtel Money connects customers to the service, gnuGrid Technologies supports credit scoring, and Service Cops provides the loan management platform.

Beyond Kwaata Sente, Service Cops brings experience in enabling financial institutions to develop, manage and scale digital credit products. Through Vantage LMS, the company supports lending applications spanning personal and business loans, school fees financing, education loans and other embedded lending solutions.

Service Cops is proud to contribute its technology expertise to Kwaata Sente and to collaborative efforts aimed at expanding access to financial services while supporting a sustainable digital credit ecosystem in Uganda.
