KAMPALA, Uganda– Dr. Elioda Tumwesigye, aspiring Member of Parliament for Sheema North Constituency, has pledged to modernize the region’s infrastructure and uplift the general welfare of its residents.
Speaking shortly after being officially nominated at the Kyadondo NRM Electoral Commission offices, Dr. Tumwesigye outlined his development agenda, which includes upgrading the road network, enhancing educational institutions, improving healthcare services, and supporting poverty alleviation programs.
He emphasized his commitment to lobbying for increased government and development partner support to transform Sheema North into a model constituency where essential social services are easily accessible to all citizens.
“My vision is to improve the quality of life for the people of Sheema North by ensuring access to clean piped water, extending electricity, and constructing better roads to facilitate the transportation of goods and services,” he said.
Dr. Tumwesigye previously served as Uganda’s Minister of Science, Technology, and Innovation, bringing a wealth of experience to his development agenda.
