Following a video circulating on social media showing a man allegedly defiling a female juvenile, Police in Wakiso have arrested the suspect seen in the footage. The suspect is being held in connection with the aggravated defilement of an 8-year-old girl.
The incident, according to reports, occurred on April 16, 2026, in Mabombwe village, Mabombwe parish Mende subcounty Wakiso district.
The suspect has been identified as Moses Ssebagala, male adult and a boda boda rider, residing from Mabombwe village Wakiso district .
It is alleged that the victim was outside with her sister when the suspect approached them.
In state issued by the Kampala Metropolitan spokesperson, Rachael Kawala, the suspect is alleged to given the children a phone to watch cartoons and placed the victim on his lap, where he was allegedly seen defiling her.
“We strongly condemn all forms of child abuse. We urge parents and guardians to remain vigilant and closely supervise their children at all times,” Kawala noted.
She said the suspect is currently will be produced in court as investigations continue.
“We remain committed to thoroughly investigating such acts and ensuring justice for victims,” she added.
