KAMPALA — The Senior Presidential Advisor on Political Affairs, Moses Byaruhanga, has called on Ugandans to re-elect President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni, citing his proven record of strategic leadership that has fostered peace, democracy, and economic transformation across the country.

Speaking to this publication on Tuesday, October 28, 2025, from his office at Okello House, State House, Byaruhanga emphasized that President Museveni remains the most capable leader to steer Uganda toward a prosperous future.

“President Museveni has consistently demonstrated the wisdom and capacity needed to guide the nation. Re-electing him will ensure the consolidation of the gains made and the realization of a better Uganda for generations to come,” Byaruhanga said.

He highlighted several government initiatives that have transformed Uganda’s economic landscape, including the Parish Development Model (PDM), Emyooga, the Women in Business GROW Program, the Youth Livelihood Program, and the Women Entrepreneurship Program, among others. These, he noted, have empowered communities and spurred inclusive economic growth.

Byaruhanga also expressed confidence that, if re-elected, President Museveni would prioritize key pending development projects—particularly the enhancement of salaries for all civil servants to improve service delivery nationwide.

On infrastructure, he pointed out ongoing and planned projects such as the expansion and rehabilitation of the railway network, upgrading of national road systems, universal access to affordable electricity, and the construction and renovation of classrooms and hospitals across the country.

“These initiatives are central to the NRM government’s commitment to improving the livelihoods of Ugandans and building a stronger national economy,” Byaruhanga added.
