KAMPALA, Uganda: MTN Mobile Money Uganda has today launched the 2026 “Win School Fees for a Year and More” campaign, marking another milestone in the company’s ongoing commitment to making education more accessible, affordable, and stress-free for families across the country.

Now in its third consecutive year, the campaign returns with enhanced rewards that reflect MTN MoMo’s focus on long-term impact. Parents and guardians who pay school fees using MoMo stand a chance to have their children’s school fees fully paid for an entire year, offering real relief at a time when education costs continue to weigh heavily on households.

Participation is simple, parents and guardians only need to pay school fees via MoMo by dialing 16580# and completing the payment digitally.

The campaign also continues to engage schools as key partners in advancing digital payments. Schools and bursars that register to collect school fees through MoMo benefit from faster reconciliation, improved tracking, and safer cashless payments. By joining the MoMo School Fees platform, schools not only simplify their collections but also stand a chance to win a school van, supporting day-to-day operations and enhancing service delivery. Schools are encouraged to register and begin collecting school fees through MoMo to be eligible.

Recognising that school fees can sometimes be challenging to settle at once, MTN MoMo is also promoting MoMo School Fees Loans as part of the campaign. These loans are designed to give parents and guardians the flexibility they need to pay school fees on time and keep children in school without disruption. Customers who require support can apply for a MoMo School Fees Loan directly on the MoMo platform and automatically stand a chance to win through the campaign.

Speaking at the launch, Richard Yego, Managing Director, MTN MoMo Uganda, said;  “Education remains one of the most powerful enablers of progress for individuals and for the country as a whole. Through the Win School Fees for a Year and More campaign, we are going beyond convenience to deliver meaningful support that can change the course of a family’s future. By fully covering school fees for a year and offering additional rewards, we are reaffirming our role as a trusted partner in the education journey of Ugandan families.”

Jemima Kariuki, Chief Product Officer, MTN Mobile Money Uganda, added; “Paying school fees is one of the most important financial commitments for parents and guardians. Our goal with this campaign is to make that process simpler, more secure, and more rewarding. Whether it is through winning school fees for a year, accessing a school fees loan, or enabling schools to collect payments digitally, MoMo is designed to deliver real value that fits into the everyday realities of our customers’ lives.”

The 2026 “Win School Fees for a Year and More” campaign reflects MTN MoMo’s consistency and innovation in supporting education while strengthening the habit of paying school fees digitally. It also aligns with MTN’s broader Power to Be More platform, which champions solutions that empower Ugandans to achieve more by removing barriers in their daily lives.

Parents and guardians can participate by paying school fees using MoMo, schools can register to collect fees digitally, and customers in need of support can apply for a MoMo School Fees Loan all through the MTN MoMo platform.
