KASESE– Grief has engulfed students, teachers of Mubuku Primary School in Mubuku Town Council in Kasese District after a P.1 Pupil Magambo Innocent 8 years old drowned in River Mubuku last night.
The tragic Incident happened last night at approximately 1900hrs when the Deceased was playing with his friends in the said river .
The speeding water dragged Magambo Innocent for a distance of about 200 meters, following a heavy down pour in the Mountains of Rwenzori.
The OC Station Mubuku Asp Tukumubona Stephen and his team with the help of Locals retrieved the body of the Deceased from Mubuku Prisons Maize Farm.
“As police we continue to urge parents to always prevent children from playing along these dangerous rivers because they have posed a great danger to our members of the community, particularly River Nyamwamba, Mubuku and their Tributaries,” Nelson Tumushime SP Spokesperson Police KKasese said.
