EDUCATION: The Old Girls Association of Trinity College Nabbingo (TCNOGA) has held an animated thanksgiving Mass to celebrate outstanding candidates from Trinity College Nabbingo who excelled in the Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education (UACE) examinations and are preparing to join universities.
The colourful day-long event, held on March 15, 2026, began with a thanksgiving Mass led by Fr. Achilles Mayanja, who represented the Archbishop of Kampala, Paul Ssemogerere.
During his homily, Fr. Mayanja commended the college leadership for working collectively to ensure students maintain strong academic performance in both UCE and UACE examinations.
He encouraged the students to remain disciplined and God-fearing as they transition to university life, warning them about social pressures and temptations that could negatively affect their moral and spiritual values.
The school headmistress, Immaculate Nasozi Lwanga, congratulated all stakeholders who contributed to the strong academic performance of the students, noting that the school continues to uphold its tradition of academic excellence and integrity.
The chief guest, Rosette Nyirinkindi, applauded the students for their impressive results, saying she was proud as an alumna to witness the school’s continued academic success and contribution to national development.
The President of TCNOGA, Solome Marie Nassiwa Lubowa, represented by Jesca Zziwa, congratulated the students for making the association proud and expressed confidence that they would excel in their university studies.
During the event, Zziwa handed over a cash donation of five million Uganda shillings to support the ongoing construction of the school chapel, which will increase seating capacity from 350 to 1,500 students once completed.
Meanwhile, the Chairperson of the Board of Governors, John Mary Sebunya, appealed to alumni and well-wishers to contribute towards the proposed Trinity Junior School construction project estimated at 14 billion shillings.
He said the project would allow daughters of alumni to begin their education journey at the junior school before progressing to Trinity College Nabbingo, strengthening the institution’s legacy.
