Following a surge in robbery cases within and outside Katwe Division, a targeted operation was conducted at the residences of Jjingo Shafik, alias Fik Gaza.
The operation resulted in the arrest of four suspects: Jjingo Shafik, Magoola Najibu, Mutuba David (alias Mavin Gaza), and Zziwa Charles (alias Mzungu).
According to Kampala Metropolitan Police spokesman, Patrick Onyango, exhibits including pangas, military attire, and suspected narcotics were recovered. Notably, the residence of Jjingo Shafik, an artist, was found to be harboring some of the city’s most wanted criminals.
Onyango said one of the suspects, Zziwa Charles, was discovered to have escaped from custody while facing a murder charge.
Sanctioned files are in place against all the suspects arrested during the operation.
