Police investigate aggravated trafficking in Kiboga

The 45 victims include nine male juveniles and 23 female juveniles between 03 years to 15 years old plus 5 male adults and 08 female adults between 20 to 34years old. (14 males and 31 females).

Territorial police in Kiboga district are holding one suspect in connection with aggravated trafficking of 45 victims that happened in Kikooba lc1 Bukomero subcounty Kiboga district on 06/02/2025.
The 45 victims include nine male juveniles and 23 female juveniles between 03 years to 15 years old plus 5 male adults and 08 female adults between 20 to 34years old. (14 males and 31 females).
The suspect is Nakayima Jesca female 34yrs old a teacher by profession resident of Kazinga Zone Kyebando Ward Nansana Municipality in the Wakiso District.
It’s alleged that on 05/02/2025 Nakayima(suspect) hired a Motorvehicle Registration number UAW 850A Coaster Rosa from Muwanika Alex who also operates as it’s driver.
According to area spokes person, Rachel Kawala, preliminary findings indicate that at about 1600/c she moved around the areas of Kazinga, Kyebando and Nansana in Wakiso District picking the victims from their parents and others from their work places in the pretext that she was going to give them bursaries and some other jobs which included teaching, Matrons, Cleaners and Askaris.
It has been established that she told the victims that she was taking them to the areas of Namayumba and Kakiri in ‘their’ schools of Born Agains.
But when they reached Namayumba she told the driver to proceed up to the point she would tell him to stop.
It is alleged that she led the driver upto Kikooba Village Bukomero Sub-county in Kiboga District where they arrived at about 0200hrs at a private Primary school identified as Good Samaritan belonging to Apostle Mitala Amon.
On 06.02.2025 in the morning they waited to hear from the Suspect but she could not give them a way foward but all in vain .
It has been established that the Head teacher of the school had no idea about the coming of the victims and he immediately informed the LC1 chairperson who later informed the police .
Kawala said the scene of crime has been visited by our task team led by dpc kiboga.
Relevant statements have also been recorded.
The suspect is in custody at Kiboga police station to help in investigations.
Efforts are on to have the victims reunited with their parents and families.
Further inquiries are on to establish the motive of the suspect.
