The Territorial Police in Nakasongola district are actively investigating a case of Vandalism and malicious damage of a pole and Electricity wires that occurred on the night of Tuesday, the 1st April 2025, at approximately 2000/c in Nakaseta village, Kakooge town council, Nakasongola District.
Preliminary investigations indicate that on April 1, 2025, at around 2000/c, power blacked out in the above area .
The Officer in Charge (OC) station Kakooge town council received a phone call that there is electric spark at Nakaseta village, kakooge town council in Nakasongola district.
The Savanna Policing area spokespeson, Sam Twineamazima said the OC immediately responded to the scene and found when the pole and electric wires, were cut down by unknown people using bowsaw but they didn’t steal the wires or anything hence commencing police investigations.
He noted that a case of Vandalism and malicious damage was registered, scene visited, and a canine unit was introduced to the scene but lost a scent around the water source.
“Statements were recorded from witnesses and the scene was revisited by district security committee members while looking for a solution to deter any other Vandalism,” Twineamazima noted.
He said more inquiries are still on going.
