Kampala, Uganda – UMC Victoria Hospital in Bukoto hosted a Spine and Back Pain Camp, offering free expert consultations and affordable treatment options for individuals suffering from spinal and back-related conditions
This special three-day which started yesterday 28th September will end on 30th.
The health camp is designed to provide much-needed relief to patients experiencing chronic pain in the spine, back, limbs, hips, and related areas.
The hospital has brought a team of experienced spinal specialists to offer personalized consultations, diagnosis, and treatment plans.
Services offered at the camp includes;
Free Expert Consultations: Personalized assessments by top spine specialists.
Advanced Diagnostics: Cutting-edge technology for accurate evaluation.
Treatment for Common Conditions such as herniated discs, spinal stenosis, nerve compression.
Personalized Rehabilitation: Post-surgery recovery plans to improve mobility and reduce pain
At day one, Margaret Bigiru, who has struggled with back complications since 2010, shared her optimism:
“Sometimes I can’t even walk due to the pain in my left limb and back. But I’m hopeful that I’ll get relief here.”
“I’ve had hip and leg pain for a while. I’m glad UMC Victoria is offering this camp, especially since Mulago’s spinal unit isn’t currently active,” said Baira James, a resident of Bukoto.
Nakato Specioza said that “Such specialized services are rare in Uganda. I’m really grateful for this opportunity.”
