KAMPALA Uganda (UGNEWSLINE)  – Vivo Energy Uganda, the company that markets and distributes Shell-branded fuels and lubricants in Uganda, has officially handed over prizes to winners of its successful campaign, “Unleash the Power”, celebrating the customers who trust premium Shell products for their vehicles.

The campaign aimed to encourage the adoption of premium Shell fuels and lubricants while educating motorists on the benefits of quality products in supporting engine protection, vehicle performance and driving confidence.

The campaign highlighted the complementary benefits of Shell Helix Ultra, Shell’s premium fully synthetic lubricant powered by PurePlus Technology, and Shell V-Power, Shell’s advanced performance fuel formulated to help restore engine performance and protect against power-robbing deposits.

At the prize handover ceremony held at Shell Lugogo service station, Vivo Energy Uganda awarded 18 winners electronic prizes and recognised eight grand prize winners, each of whom earned an all-expenses-paid trip to Cape Town, South Africa.

Speaking at the event, Mrs Alinafe Mkavea, Chief Commercial Officer of Vivo Energy Uganda, thanked customers for their participation and continued confidence in the Shell brand.

“With ‘Unleash the Power’, we set out to show motorists that choosing premium Shell products is about more than simply fuelling or servicing a vehicle. It is about making informed choices that support engine protection, performance and a better driving experience. We are delighted by the response from customers across Uganda and proud to reward their loyalty through an initiative that combines product education with memorable experiences.”

Under the campaign, customers who serviced their vehicles using Shell Helix Ultra or purchased Shell V-Power fuel could enter the promotion for a chance to win prizes ranging from branded merchandise and electronic gadgets to the ultimate grand prize: an all-expenses-paid holiday in Cape Town.

Mrs Mkavea added that the campaign reflected Vivo Energy Uganda’s broader commitment to delivering tangible value to customers through quality products, trusted expertise and rewarding experiences.

“While today’s event celebrates our winners, the campaign’s impact goes beyond the prizes. We want motorists to understand the value of investing in quality products that help protect their engines and support reliable performance. Through our premium Shell fuels and lubricants, combined with customer-focused initiatives such as this, we remain committed to helping Ugandans make informed choices and get more from every journey.”

The “Unleash the Power” campaign reflects Vivo Energy Uganda’s commitment to delivering value beyond the point of purchase by combining premium products with customer education and rewarding experiences.

Shell Helix Ultra and Shell V-Power offer complementary benefits for motorists. Shell Helix Ultra is designed to help protect engines against wear and maintain performance. Shell V-Power is formulated to help clean and protect critical engine components against deposits that can affect performance.

Together, these products form part of Vivo Energy Uganda’s wider customer value proposition, built around:

Engine protection and performance: premium lubricants and fuels designed to help maintain engine condition and support vehicle performance.

Quality and trusted expertise: Shell products backed by established product development and technical expertise.

Informed motoring choices: customer education that helps motorists understand the benefits of using products suited to their vehicles.

Customer rewards and engagement: promotions that recognise customer loyalty and create additional value through exciting prizes and experiences.

Vivo Energy Uganda expressed its appreciation to customers, service station operators, mechanics, partners, agencies and employees whose support contributed to the campaign’s success.

The company reaffirmed its commitment to bringing customers high-quality Shell fuels and lubricants, practical motoring solutions and engaging initiatives that deliver lasting value to Ugandan motorists.
